About
The StemCaptain was founded in the summer of 2007, in beautiful Rocky Mountain foothills town of Boulder, CO. Two friends and riding buddies, Graeson “G-Train” Lewis and Mike “Jack-7″ Hogan, might not agree on what a good all-in poker hand is, but they both agreed the stem cap on their bike was destined for a higher purpose. With a common distaste for watches and cyclocomputers, the two set out to put a clock in the place of the stem cap. Throw in a little of Mike’s mechanical engineering background, some of G-Train’s bike knowledge and computer savvy, and a little bit of creativity from the both, and whalla, the original StemCaptain was born.
“We hope you will enjoy our offerings. We aim to provide products that are functional as well as stylish, and are genuinely useful to cyclists of many types. If you like to escape the clock when you ride, maybe our compass will appeal to you. If you don’t care how hot it is when you are riding, hopefully you can pop open a cool one with our bottle opener (coming this Spring) after you’re done. Whatever you decide, may you have plenty of Time to Ride…!“ -Cheers, Mike
